Site survey

A survey allows Sunya to take into account any existing structures, utilities, services, level changes and other elements that affect the design process. Sunya recruits a surveyor to prepare a survey plan that will be used for her site analysis and concept design.

Concept development and complete design

Once the brief is agreed Sunya will then send you a design contract. This confirms all your requirements and gives you a fixed price for the design.

• 1st stage
  Outline proposal using mood boards, photographs, hand & computer drawn sketches and perspectives that will help you visualise the finished project for your approval. During this stage any questions you may have will be discussed and revisions made accordingly if necessary.
• 2nd stage
  The agreed design is then drawn up to scale with meticulous attention to detail ready for the contractors and suppliers. This includes a fully scaled master plan, a lighting plan and other related technical drawings. These plans are essential documents both to acquire accurate quotations from contractors and to guide their activities during the project, enabling them to build to a high standard.
• 3rd stage
  Specification and tendering for works if necessary. Sunya will write a full specification document for tender purposes. She can provide details of experienced contractors who regularly build her gardens. These contractors maintain the highest standard of workmanship. Alternatively at this point you can appoint your own trusted contractors and employ specialists directly.

Optional project administration:

Sunya can monitor the construction stages at different times and oversee the project to completion. The regularity and duration of visits depends on the size and complexity of your project.

Planting design

The planting plan will show an exact plant association and specification i.e. type of plant, quantity and placement in order to create the functional and aesthetic qualities of a coherent design scheme.

Post project consultation

Once the project is complete, Sunya can arrange yearly or multiple site visits for checks and advice on your garden and its establishment.

Horticultural care management

It is important to have a design eye, not just the ability to care for plants. Knowing what plants to substitute and replace in an overall scheme is key to success and ensures that your garden reaches its full potential. Sunya and her highly skilled team can nurture the garden during its early stages and beyond. This service is often combined with her post project consultation schedules.
